[8th Anniversary: The Shaker Box]

방 한켠 작은 작업실에서 시작한 앙스모멍이
오늘로 여덟 번째 봄을 맞이했습니다.
우리는 빠르게 확장하기보다 천천히 쌓는 방식을 택해왔습니다.
눈에 띄는 화려함보다는 보이지 않는 부분의 밀도를,
찰나의 유행보다는 손 끝에 닿는 온도를 더 소중히 여겨온 시간들이었습니다.
그 8년의 태도를 흐트러짐 없는 간결하고 단단한 형태로 남기고 싶었습니다.
◆ 셰이커 박스 (Shaker Box)
이번 8주년을 기념해 제작한 황동 셰이커 박스는 19세기 셰이커교도들의 ‘간결함의 미학’에서 영감을 받았습니다. “가장 훌륭한 장식은 쓰임에 충실한 구조 그 자체”라는 그들의 신념은, 지난 8년간 우리가 지켜온 고집과도 닮아 있습니다.
본래 나무를 휘어 만들던 전통 방식을 견고한 황동의 물성으로 재해석했습니다. 이는 시간이 흐를수록 사용자의 손길과 공기에 반응하며 깊은 고색(Patina)을 띠게 될 것입니다.
숫자 ‘8’을 옆으로 눕히면 무한함을 뜻하는 기호 ‘∞’가 됩니다. 8주년을 기념하는 이 박스가 단순히 물건을 보관하는 함을 넘어, 여러분의 일상 속에서 변치 않는 가치와 영원한 시간을 담아내는 오브제가 되기를 바랍니다.

8주년과 무한함의 의미를 담아 총 88개를 한정 제작하였습니다.
각 제품에는 고유의 넘버링이 새겨집니다.

This shape focuses on the state of energy rather than movement.
The posture of stopping with the front legs raised is not the moment of departure,
It contains the time during which the force that has already been sufficiently generated is maintained without being released yet.
Still Burning is a layering of different energies on the same shape.
It was produced in two versions, white and black.
The white horse symbolizes bright energy and clear direction.
A state where the will is revealed above the surface, containing the knot of chosen power.
The black horse speaks of time and condensed energy accumulated within.
It expresses a state of power that is not outwardly apparent, but maintained in silence.
Still Burning isn't about the moment of burning, but about the state of fire that persists. I hope these objects will remain in their own time, each with a small yet profound power.
